Job Purpose

Undertake all electrical work in an efficient and safe manner, with repairs undertaken as appropriate. Ensuring that planned maintenance is carried out in line with its scheduled date, that Health & Safety policies are adhered to, and compliance with policy and procedures.

Hours of work Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm, overtime is also available.

This is a mobile role so you will be covering various contracts in Edinburgh and must also be flexible to cover surrounding areas when required.

Main Duties:

  • Ensure that equipment and services are maintained and operated in a safe condition to comply with Health & Safety.
  • Monitor regular inspection procedures (preventative maintenance programme) of equipment.
  • Record and keep logs of inspection reports and remedial work.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of statutory regulations and to ensure awareness of all safety procedures.

  • Attend and fully participate in training and appraisal as required.

What we are looking for

  • City and Guilds 2360 Parts 1&2 qualification or equivalent.
  • IEE 18th Edition regulations
  • Ability to record work accurately on CAFM systems.
  • Good knowledge of building Statutory Compliance.
  • Able to carry tools and equipment by hand up to 20kg.
  • Able to ascend/descend access equipment; able to work at height.
